The Council of Academic Societies Related to Estuary Environment was organized in 2000. The researchers who participate in the council pursue the ideal environment and wise use of coastal and estuarine zone beyond their own fields. The coastal engineering committee established “the Subcommittee to Promote Researches on Coastal Environment to encourage researchers and engineers in coastal engineering field” to contribute to the council’s activities.
